About IWAGA A Trusted Organization

Initiative for Women and Girl's advancement initially Women for Progress is a local civil society organization registered in Mukono District, Uganda.

The organization seeks to empower women and girls' with all round knowledge and information as well as enhance their skill-set significant for their self-determination.

Our impact has been great and there has been an improvement on the empowerment of women and adoloscent girls across Mukono though much more needs to be done.

Financial Literacy

For women engaged in income generating enterprises particularly micro businesses. This enhances women's financing to grow their enterprises, improve business principles .

Girls' Mentorship

Girls' Mentorship

We run a mentoring program for adolescents and teenage girls in Primary and secondary schools as well as higher institutions of learning. Thus offering them guidence and mentorship.

Skills Enhancement

Skills Enhancement

We run a skills enhancement program for young girls in school and teenage mothers particularly school drop outs 18-22 years.
